This course is designed for childcare and foster care workers, teachers, camp counselors and coaches. Parents with young children and adolescents are also highly encouraged to attend. This course will provide the education and confidence needed to effectively care for children in an emergency until professional help arrives.
Topics include first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies and CPR with automated external defibrillator (AED).

This class teaches 11 to 15 year olds how to baby sit safely. The class provides developmentally appropriate activities, feeding and bedtime routines to help teens and preteens care for babies and young children. For more information call 305-662-8282. |

Bike Rallies |

These rallies are for children on wheels, bikes or skates, and are held in the MCH parking garage, rain or shine. The course takes 30 - 40 minutes to complete. The program runs continuously, so come anytime between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. There are some 24 inch bikes available to borrow or bring your child’s bike for a free safety check by a local bike shop. Bike helmets will also be checked for proper fit. A limited supply of bike helmets will be given away. These rallies are by request and no registration is needed.
