Allergy & immunology consultations and services at the Miami Children’s Hospital Nicklaus Care Center are provided by Vivian Hernandez-Trujillo MD. Dr. Hernandez-Trujillo is the Director of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology Services at Miami Children’s Hospital. Services include, but are not limited to, allergy testing and immunology work up.

Pediatric Plastic/Craniofacial surgical services are provided by Chad Perlyn M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Perlyn is an attending plastic surgeon at Miami Children's Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Florida International University College of Medicine. Dr. Perlyn’s practice is dedicated solely to caring for children and young adults with congenital or acquired anomalies and injuries.
At the Miami Children's Hospital Nicklaus Care Center, Dr. Perlyn provides comprehensive care and management for infants, children and young adults with congenital and acquired craniofacial disorders. This includes evaluation and treatment of children with cleft lip and/or palate, Pierre Robin Sequence, Apert Syndrome, Crouzon Syndrome, Hemifacial Microsomia, Moebius Syndrome, plagiocephaly and many other craniofacial anomalies. In addition to craniofacial surgery, treatment and evaluation of other conditions requiring plastic and reconstructive surgery can be addressed. These include birthmarks, hemangiomas, vascular malformations, hand problems, skin lesions, and other such issues.

Endocrinology services are provided by Dr. Alejandro Diaz, who is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology.
At the Miami Children’s Hospital Nicklaus Care Center, Dr. Diaz provides a complete array of diagnostic, treatment and consulting services for infants, children and adolescents with endocrine disorders, including thyroid disorders, short stature, disorders of puberty, congenital adrenal hyperplasia and obesity.

Gastroenterology services are provided by Dr. Alisa Muniz Crim. Dr. Muniz Crim is Board Certified in Pediatrics. The Miami Children's Hospital Nicklaus Care Center offers infants, children and adolescents specialized care for a wide variety of conditions, including abdominal pain (recurrent/persistent), biliary atresia, Celiac Disease, constipation, diarrhea and malabsorption, dysphagia, fecal incontinence, gastroesophageal reflux, Crohn’s disease, Cystic Fibrosis, failure to thrive, feeding difficulties and disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, lactose intolerance and ulcerative colitis.

Orthopedic Surgery (Spinal Deformities and Disorders):
Orthopedic services are provided by Harry Shufflebarger, M.D. Dr. Shufflebarger is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and also serves as the Director of the Division of Pediatric Spinal Surgery. At the Miami Children's Hospital Nicklaus Care Center, Dr. Shufflebarger will be on staff to provide diagnosis and treatment of scoliosis and spinal disorders.
Day(s) of Service: Two Thursday's per Month ( first and third or first and fourth Thursday)
Nephrology consultations and services at the Miami Children’s Hospital Nicklaus Care Center are provided by Felix Ramirez-Seijas, M.D. Dr. Ramirez-Seijas is the Director of Pediatric Nephrology at Miami Children’s Hospital. Care is provided for a broad range of nephrology conditions, including but not limited to congenital anomalies of the urinary tract including vesicoureteral reflux and obstructive uropathy, electrolyte imbalance, renal parenchyma, glomerulonephritis, tubular diseases and collagen vascular diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus.

Neurology services are provided by Dr. Mark Epstein. Dr. Epstein is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Pediatrics, and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology.
A broad range of neurological services are provided including diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of attention deficit disorder (ADHD), pervasive development disorders/autistic spectrum disorders (PDD/ASD), epilepsy, and other less specific conditions such as mental retardation and cerebral palsy.
