Cardiac Prenatal Program

The Prenatal Cardiac Program at Miami Childrens Hospital is designed to address the needs of families whose infants are diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease by fetal echocardiography (ultrasound of infant before birth). Early diagnosis facilitates the coordination of infant and family needs at the time of delivery and beyond. The program provides information and support to families by offering written literature and unit tours. The family can also meet key members of the Cardiovascular Team. Family resources will also be provided.

The Prenatal Cardiac Program at Miami Childrens Hospital is under the direction of Dr. Leo Lopez. The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioners coordinate the services specific to the needs of each family.
