Our program is nationally recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best pediatric heart and heart surgery programs.

The Prenatal Cardiac Program at Miami Childrens Hospital is designed to address the needs of families whose infants are diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease by fetal echocardiography (ultrasound of infant before birth). Early diagnosis facilitates the coordination of infant and family needs at the time of delivery and beyond. The program provides information and support to families by offering written literature and unit tours. The family can also meet key members of the Cardiovascular Team. Family resources will also be provided.

The Prenatal Cardiac Program at Miami Children's Hospital is under the direction of Dr. Ruchira Garg. The Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioners coordinate the services specific to the needs of each family.
The Prenatal Cardiac Program can be reached by calling 305-666-6511 Extension 3694.
