Jo Ann Vargas earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication Disorders at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez. Jo Ann is a core member of the Miami Children's Hospital's Feeding and Swallowing team and the Craniofacial team. She participates in Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies in children to determine adequate airway protection during swallowing. She also provides direct outpatient care to patients, focusing on evaluation and treatment of various speech and language disorders as well as multiple feeding disorders.
