Jussara Silva earned a Doctor of Audiology degree at the University of Florida in Gainesville, a Master of Science degree in Audiology at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Pontifical Catholic University in Brazil. As a clinical specialist and senior audiologist at Miami Children's Hospital, Jussara is responsible for all clinical aspects of the Audiology Department. She specializes in auditory processing evaluation in patients ranging from 5 years of age to adults. Jussara periodically gives lectures to physicians and medical residents regarding fundamental audiometric services, otoxicity, newborn hearing, auditory processing, and other similar subjects. In addition to basic pediatric audiometry and neonatal hearing screening, she routinely performs auditory processing evaluations (APD), electrophysiology evaluations such as tone-burst and bone conduction Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR), Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE), and Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR).
