Miami Children's Dan Marino Center has added pediatric ultrasound to the scope of imaging services available at the site. Ultrasound is performed on a state-of-the-art Philips ultrasound system that provides Doppler, 3-D, Sono CT, panoramic, contrast compatible and high-resolution, real-time imaging capabilities.
In addition to state-of-the-art equipment, the department is staffed by experienced, highly skilled and registered pediatric technologists utilizing the same protocols being used at the MCH Main Campus. The ultrasound images will be interpreted by our team of specially trained pediatric radiologists at Miami Children's Hospital via a high speed network connection.
Miami Children's Hospital's ultrasound department is accredited by the American College of Radiology. A number of the hospital's radiologists are nationally recognized for their achievements in clinical medicine and research.
The Center's ultrasound service is currently available every Thursday. The schedule may expand to accommodate increasing demands. To schedule an ultrasound examination or an M.R.I. scan, please call 954-385-6234. Walk-ins are welcome on Thursdays.
