Training

All of the physicians in the Department of Neurology are trained in Child Neurology. Their training includes four years of medical school, postgraduate training in pediatrics (typically 2-3 years), and postgraduate training in neurology (typically 3 years). Many of the child neurologists at Miami Children's Hospital have additional training or interest in one area of neurology such as epilepsy, neuromuscular conditions, sleep medicine, pain management, or movement disorders.
