The Urgent Care Center at MCH Palmetto Bay Center offers treatment for minor injuries and illnesses such as fevers, ear-aches, cuts and scrapes, in cooperation with your child's pediatrician.
Minor injuries and illnesses often seem to arise after your child's doctor's office is closed for the day or weekend. You will be at ease knowing that care is available from pediatricians and nurses of Miami Children's Hospital, the only licensed specialty hospital in South Florida exclusively for children.
Whenever your child has an urgent medical concern, it is recommended you call your child's doctor to discuss the care of your child. If you do not have a pediatrician, consider using the MCH Physician Referral Line at (305) 624-4543 or 1-888-MCH-DOCS. Urgent Care Center staff can not answer medical questions over the phone. Do not hesitate to call 911 if your child is having difficulty breathing, is bleeding severely, is in sever pain, is unconscious or if you otherwise think the condition is serious or life-threatening.
Most health insurance plans cover urgent care, but patients should check their healthcare plans to be sure.
