Miami Children's Hospital reaches out to underserved children in south Miami-Dade County through its Preventive Medicine/Health on Wheels program, based at the MCH Palmetto Bay Center.
The Health on Wheels van visits schools throughout the region, offering medical exams and immunizations to children in need. Related services include visual, hearing, and scoliosis screenings. The program also seeks to help parents learn more about medical insurance options that may be available to them.
