Soraya Balanta joined the
Physician Liaison/Outreach Services and After Hours Program in August 31, 2009 and brings with her 10 years of experience in working within the healthcare field. As an Adminstrative Coordinator, for Global Health Service, she interacted with international and geographic physicians, patients and families in the coordination of their medical care. Also, traveling out of state to represent the
Global Health Services department. Prior to this, she was Senior Registrar for the Patient Access department in charge of the daily operation of patient registration.
Ms. Balanta is a member of the American Association of Physician Liaisons, Physicians Practice and the Miami Children's Hospital Administrative Professional Association.
"It is a priviledge to work for this institution and excited to be a part of the Physician Liaison/Outreach Services and After Hours Program. ", she said.
As the Physician Liaison for Miami Children’s Hospital, Soraya Balanta assists pediatricians and other pediatric specialists throughout the community. Her goal is to visit and engage our community pediatricians in order to develop relationships. She also educates our physicians on new service lines and technology available, increase referrals and inspire loyalty to our hospital.
