Welcome to the Miami Children's Hospital Graduate Medical Education (GME) Department. Our goal is to provide an optimal learning environment for the acquisition of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes by our graduates, in order to achieve the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishments in their field.
Our three-year
Pediatric Residency Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), with participation limited to 84 residents and two chief residents. The focus of the program is to prepare residents for a lifetime of quality practice either in primary care pediatrics or in the subspecialty of their choosing.
MCH is also a pediatric training site for 200
rotating residents and subspecialty residents per year from participating institutions such as Cleveland Clinic, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Nova Southeastern University, and other facilities. The GME program offer electives for residents and fellows from ACGME-accredited programs across the USA and Canada.
