The FAC members and Miami Children's Hospital have worked collaboratively to achieve the following:
Fostering the development of community resource guides for all families coming to MCH
Review of architect's plans and provided input into hospital area redesign
Active participation into the redesign of the Family Resource Center
Pilot Program for Communication Boards
Development of the Guide to Patient/Family Services
Participation in the Customer Service Excellence Program
Conducting staff Education and Sensitivity Training
Developing and implementing a Parent Mentor System
Participation in Miami Children's Hospital policy review
Development and distribution of the "Ask the Doctor Pad"
Development of "Scrappin' Moments" program
Active involvement in all Family-centered care initiatives
