The Teen Council, made up of current or former hospital children and/or siblings, is a channel for patients at MCH to voice their opinions and create an awareness of the importance of making the hospital experience more family-centered.
Members are nominated by MCH's Child Life Specialists, social workers, and nurses on a yearly basis. Nominees exhibit leadership skills, a strong desire to enhance Miami Children's Hospital and a commitment to being involved by attending meetings, events and participating in all projects.
The council meets once a month under the leadership of Traci Maye and Stacia Self, Child Life Specialists.
