Marta A. Alonso joined Miami Children's Hospital and brings with her 28 years of experience in working with physicians. As an Account Specialist, she structured the day to day operations of medical practices, as Lead Account Manager, she consulted physicians for best practices for healthcare revenue management, as Provider Relations Manager, she worked in servicing, networking, credentialing, and contracting providers for insurance carriers and as Practice Administrator, she managed the daily operation for Fraga Medical Centers. Ms. Alonso is a member of the American Association of Physician Liaisons, Physicians Practice, the Florida Hospital Association (FHA), MGMA and Health Leaders. "I am excited to be a part of Miami Children's Hospital and look forward to partnering with our physicians in delivering the highest level of pediatric excellence," she said.
As Director of the Physician Liaison/Outreach Services and After Hours Program for Miami Children’s Hospital, Marta A. Alonso assists pediatricians and other pediatric specialists throughout the community. Her goal is to visit and engage our community pediatricians in order to develop relationships. She also educates our physicians on new service lines and technology available, increase referrals and inspire loyalty to our hospital.
In addition, Ms. Alonso conveys the comments and insights of South Florida’s community physicians to the leadership team at Miami Children's Hospital. “These interactions will allow us to gain valuable insight in strategizing future initiatives for the hospital,” she said.
