With a caring team of nurses and doctors and the most technologically advanced equipment, Miami Children's Emergency Department provides the immediate quality care that your child needs.

At Miami Children's, we know that a child's needs are different from adult’s. To ensure that your child is seen by a pediatric specialist when it is most needed, the Emergency Department has a team of board-certified and board-eligible attending pediatric specialists and subspecialties on call, 24 hours a day. Should you child require advanced care, Miami Children’s Hospital offers a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialty physicians to collaborate in you child’s care.

The MCH Emergency Department is proud to be home to the only free-standing pediatric Trauma Center in South Florida. An adjoining helipad enhances the facility’s ability to handle incoming traumas.

Miami Children's Emergency Department was ranked 10th nationally among children's hospitals in the 'Emergency Care' subspecialty list by Child magazine in 2007. Miami Children's Hospital was the only Emergency Department from Florida to be included.
