Miami Children's Hospital South Dade Center
Urgent Care Center

Urgent Care at MCH South Dade Center offers care for minor injuries and illnesses such as fevers, ear-aches, cuts and scrapes, in cooperation with your child's pediatrician.

Minor injuries and illnesses often seem to arise after your child's doctor's office is closed for the day or weekend. You will be at ease knowing that care is available from pediatricians and nurses of Miami Children's Hospital, the only licensed specialty hospital in South Florida exclusively for children.

Whenever your child has an urgent medical concern, it is a good idea to call your child's pediatrician. If you do not have a pediatrician, consider using the MCH Physician Referral Line at (305) 624-4543 or 1-888-MCH-DOCS. Urgent Care Center staff cannot answer medical questions over the phone. It is recommended you call your child's doctor to discuss the care of your child.

Do not hesitate to call 911 if your child is having difficulty breathing, is bleeding severely, is in sever pain, is unconscious or if you otherwise think the condition is serious or life-threatening.

Most health insurance plans cover urgent care, but patients should check with their plans.
