Nicklaus Children's West Kendall Outpatient Center

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
 
 
Nicklaus Children's Hospital (NCH) has expanded its MRI service to the Nicklaus Children's West Kendall Outpatient CenterCenter, one of four NCH outpatient locations now providing type of service, exclusively for children.  The MRI results are provided on a short-bore General Electric 1.5 Telsa scanner utilizing the same protocols being used at NCH, and are interpreted by our team of pediatric radiologists at NCH via a high speed network connection.
 
If prescribed, sedation services are available at this location.
 
MRI services are currently offered Monday through Friday by appointment only.  Please call 305.663.8413 to schedule..  A prescription from your pediatrician is required for this service.

Outpatient X-Ray Services

Nicklaus Children's West Kendall Outpatient Center offers ditigal X-rays,  this imaging service is provided by registered pediatric technologists utilizing the same protocols being used at the NCH main campus. All images are interpreted by our team of specially trained pediatric radiologists at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, via a high speed network connection.
 
The Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, X-ray department is accredited by the American College of Radiology.  A number of the hospital’s radiologists are nationally recognized for their achievements in clinical medicine and research.
 
Outpatient X-ray service is currently available on a walk-in, first-come-first-serve basis.  No appointment is needed. However, a prescription from your child’s doctor is required for this service. Also required is the child’s insurance card and referral/authorization if required by the insurance plan.
