Dr. Deirdre Marshall is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Miami Children's Hospital. She is board certified and recertified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a specialty fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the American Association of Pediatric Plastic Surgeons and a member of the Florida Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association.
She is a graduate of Yale University, Columbia University Academic Institute in Paris, France, as well as the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Marshall completed her internship and residency in a combined program in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University. Dr. Marshall also completed fellowships in hand surgery and microsurgery at the Institute Francais de la Main in Paris, France and in cosmetic surgery in Miami Beach. She is a voluntary assistant professor for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami.
Many academic awards and honors have been bestowed upon Dr. Marshall, including the following: Katherine M. McCormick Foundation Award for Women in Medicine and the Stanford University School of Medicine Research Honors Award. Dr. Marshall has participated in numerous clinical research projects and has lectured extensively. Her works have been published in several journals and she has participated in many overseas medical missions.
