Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant
The Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant
program at Miami Children's Hospital is part of the National Marrow Donor Program, which provides access to a large, diverse donor pool. Our NMDP association has enabled us not only to locate unrelated donors for our patients, but also to perform bone marrow transplant procedures at our facility, eliminating the need for relocation for many families. The program remains part of the Children's Oncology Group, International Bone Marrow Transplant registry, and The Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Consortium. Membership in these organizations enables the BMT program to participate in a number of clinical research protocols, and to have access to very latest research data.
