Miami Children's
Hospital's Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery provides
treatment of trauma and specialized surgery such as:
- Cleft lip
and palate
- Orbital and
ocular
- Hemangiomas
and vascular malformations
- Ear reconstruction
- Craniofacial
- Orthognathic
maxillofacial reconstruction
- Congenital
hand malformation
Besides routine
types of pediatric plastic surgery, including the treatment of trauma,
members of the Plastic Surgery Division have particular expertise
in microsurgery, hand surgery, and repair of brachial plexus lesions.
When a child
is has a deformity, either from birth or as a result of an accident
or other medical condition, parents worry about the quality of life
their child will have. Concerns about their future are to be expected,
as is the desire for comprehensive treatment to remedy the condition.
Reconstructive
plastic surgery offers a chance to correct anomalies and allow the
child to have a normal life.

S. Anthony Wolfe and Dr.
Deirdre M Marshall have extensive experience with children who
have anomalies. They have special training in pediatrics and are
